A small but merry band of theatregoers enjoyed a thrilling OzCon evening out at Vienna’s English theatre. Unfortunately I was not able to attend myself because I had to ‘tread the boards’ myself in making a technical presentation at the Geological Society in London. I did manage to de-brief some of those that attended and was told that the hospitality at the Theatre was excellent, the sekt was cold and bubbly, the sandwiches delicious, the play itself lived up to expectations with first class set and performances from the talented thespians. The format of a pleasant social opportunity combined with cultural entertainment seemed to work very well and I believe that there was sufficient support for us to plan further visits to The English Theatre in 2015.
