24 May Excursion to Retz, Hardegg and the Czech border

Chairman Brett writes: "Had a lovely day in Retz and Hardegg yesterday....escaped the wet weather altogether." Here are photographs of the excursion to Retz wine cellars, Hardegg on the River Thaya for lunch and walk in the woods to a look-out on the Czech side.

Franz Stampfl Evening

On Wednesday 30 April there was a literary evening at Café Ritter on Mariahilferstrasse, where OzCon and the Austrian Australian Society joined forces to discuss the life and times of Franz Stampfl as told by his biographer Andreas Maier, a sports writer whose book was published in 2013. He was  interviewed by Brett Bayly. To anybody who read our (his) last newsletter, it was good that Brett fitted everything into his busy schedule.
